The forest bathing immersion is centered around BIPOC individuals in their journey towards reclamation and reconnection to the natural world. These immersions offer opportunity to experience the healing benefits of the natural world through various mindfulness-based forest bathing activities and space to engage in collaborative activities and conversation that build connection with human and more-than-human kin. Participants also learn naturalist skills that empower them to take wilderness trips in confidence. Participants learn skills such as how to set up tents, pack a backpacking pack, navigate with and without a compass, start a fire, tie knots, and identify various plants and trees in community with other BIPOC individuals. These immersions are intended to bridge the gap between marginalized communities and nature, and offer safe spaces to connect to the natural world.
