Craft What You Carry: Bark Containers

Before there were stone containers, metal pots and plastic, there was bark!

There are so many incredible trees that offer us bark that can be used to make containers. All of this knowledge is ancestral. It lives within us already. We just need some help remembering! 

There is bark that you can boil food in, bark that you can weave into beautiful patterns, bark that is excellent for gathering liquids, and bark that you can even use to preserve food.

In this day-long gathering we will explore different types of bark containers and their purposes. Participants will get the chance to make at least one container (maybe two depending on time).

We will bless our containers and release what we no longer wish to carry. Allowing for our new vessels to alchemize and transform it.
