About
Fire is a sacred element. It is the gateway element to the ancestral realm. We use fire to burn down what no longer serves us in order to create fertile ground for new growth. Birthing fire is a gift from the gods to our ancestors, and it is ours to reclaim.
This 4-hour workshop offers an introduction to bow drill friction fire. Participants will learn about the history of friction fires and will learn how to carve their own kit to take home. Please come dressed appropriately for the weather. We will not gather in rain or heavy snow for safety reasons.
Packing list:
- winter layers (a warm hat, thermal base layers, wind proof outer layer, waterproof/snow pants, wool socks, winter gloves)
