HOW THE SLIDING SCALE WORKS:

Due to the platform used for registration I am unable to put in a sliding scale option right into the registration forms. If you need to access a lower sliding scale please contact Raei@the-rusty-anvil.land with the sliding scale amount you wish to pay or with any questions you might have. Please note that this immersion program runs on a $275-525 sliding scale to support operating costs. scholarships available. Please pay it forward and pay what you can. All funds paid higher up on the sliding scale support another person's access to a spot on this trip.

FOR DONATIONS:

You can donate to support the scholarship fund, pay it forward and purchase another ticket for the next person to register, or make a larger donation to support future immersions.

These trips are for beginners, advanced backpackers, and everyone in between. These programs are intended for ages 18+

The forest bathing immersion is centered around BIPOC individuals in their journey towards reclamation and reconnection to the natural world. These immersions offer opportunity to experience the healing benefits of the natural world through various mindfulness-based forest bathing activities and collaborative activities. Participants learn skills such as how to set up tents, pack a backpacking pack, start a fire, tie knots, and identify various plants and trees in community with other BIPOC individuals. These immersions are intended to bridge the gap between marginalized communities and nature, and offer safe spaces to connect to the natural world. This trip is not about pushing ourselves to hike to the highest summit or clock the most mileage. It is a time to connect with our bodies, the land, and eachother, and find moments of stillness and rest.

Accessibility & Logistics:

Trail: Long Trail, Big Branch Wilderness, Mount Tabor VT

Accessbility

The nature of hiking and backpacking (heavy lifting, distanced hikes, crouching, bending, etc) and the terrain of this specific location makes acessibility to this specific event limited. We are working to ensure these trips are accesbile to everyone and are open to feedback on how to do that.

Meals will be determined based on participants needs including allergies and food preferences.

**Due to safety concerns for the group, we do not disclose specific sleeping locations prior to registration. I understand this may cause some concerns/ feelings around uncertainty for folks looking to register and want to respect what may arise. Please reach out to raei@the-rusty-anvil.land if you would like more details and information before registration.**
